100% of RevolutionEHR Users Updated to ONC-ATCB Certified Version of Application

Madison, WI, December 19, 2010 – RevolutionEHR, the leading provider of web-based practice management and electronic health record systems for the optometric community, announced today that RevolutionEHR version 5.1.0 has been put into production, ensuring all RevolutionEHR doctors are using an ONC-ATCB certified EHR and allowing them to immediately realize the benefits of practicing with a certified EHR and to actively work toward demonstrating Meaningful Use and applying for ARRA HITECH incentives.

“That’s one of the huge advantages our community realizes with our web-based EHR,” said Scott Jens, OD, FAAO, CEO of RevolutionEHR. “Our doctors don’t have to subject themselves to the hassle and lost productivity that is inevitable with installing software, upgrading hardware or migrating data just to start working with a certified EHR. With our latest certification update, our doctors simply just log in to RevolutionEHR to begin working with a certified EHR and are on their way toward becoming Meaningful EHR Users. It’s really that simple.”

“Having been a RevolutionEHR user for over 2 years, I appreciate the timeliness, frequency and simplicity of updates to the application”, stated Michael Walby, OD. “I’m looking forward to the upcoming releases that will allow me to demonstrate Meaningful Use and apply for the ARRA HITECH incentives.”

RevolutionEHR version 5.1.0 is 2011/2012 compliant and successfully attained ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 EHR Modular certification on November 23, 2010 by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable Eligible Provider certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The 2011/2012 criteria support the Stage 1 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2011/2012 criteria and EHR Modules meet one or more—but not all—of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology.

RevolutionEHRversion 5.1.0 certification number is CC-1112-50110-1. ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification conferred by CCHIT does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services nor does it guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.
