RevolutionEHR Announces RevolutionPHR Online Patient Scheduling

Madison, WI, December 5, 2012 – RevolutionEHR, the leading provider of cloud-based practice management and electronic health record software for the optometric community, has released the online patient schedule capabilities within RevolutionPHR – RevolutionEHR’s secure patient portal.

RevolutionPHR is a “tethered” personal health record, sharing bi-directional data flow with RevolutionEHR used in the practice.  Stage 2 Meaningful Use requirements expect optometrists to provide direct, online interconnectivity between the patient and any provider.  With the new online schedule, patients can book appointments directly onto the practice’s schedule or review recalls and book appointments specific to the doctor’s last recommendation.

RevolutionPHR is accessed after the patient receives secure online login credentials from the practice and allows the patient to update their personal demographics, view practice details, complete pre-examination interview forms, view status of optical and contact lens orders, and view and print account history information.  Based in the newest HTML5 programming language, it is accessible from any mobile device or computer.
